General Care Instructions
1. Regular Cleaning:
- Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth to dust your furniture regularly. This helps prevent build-up of dirt and grime.
- Gentle Cleaning: For a deeper clean, use a damp cloth with mild soap and water. Make sure to wipe dry immediately to avoid water spots.
2. Avoid Direct Sunlight:
- Exposure to sunlight can cause fading and drying of the wood. Place your furniture away from direct sunlight or use curtains and blinds to protect it.
3. Temperature and Humidity:
- Maintain a stable environment with moderate temperature and humidity levels. Extreme changes can cause wood to expand or contract, leading to potential damage.
Specific Finishes & Care
1. Osmo Wood Finish:
- Durable and Long-lasting: Osmo’s Oil Wood Finish provides excellent protection with a single coat. It penetrates the wood fibers for a robust finish.
2. Ontario Beeswax Finishes for Indoor/Outdoor Benches:
- Weather Resistance: Our beeswax finish provides a natural barrier against moisture and weather elements.
- Care: Reapply Ontario Beeswax Finish every 6 months. Clean the surface, apply the wax generously with a cloth, allow it to penetrate for a few minutes, then buff to a sheen.
3. Timber Pro Premium Wood Finish for Outdoor Patio Furniture & Benches:
- Timber Pro enhances and magnifies rich wood tones found in nature. It is a water-based wood finish that provides the best protection with 3 coats & adds an additional 3 years to any outdoor piece of wooden furniture.

4. Natural Food-Safe Mineral Oil for Kitchen Serving Boards:
- Safe and Healthy: Our food-safe mineral oil protects your kitchen and serving boards without harmful chemicals.
- Care: Reapply mineral oil every 6 months. Clean the board, apply a generous amount of oil using a soft cloth, let it absorb for an hour, then wipe off excess oil.
Special Care for Custom Pieces
1. Live Edge Benches and Custom Dimensional Wooden Tables:
- Maintenance: Due to their unique nature, these pieces require special attention. Dust regularly and use a gentle cleaner as needed.
- Protection: Apply appropriate finishes as recommended (Rubio Mono-coat or Beeswax) to maintain their natural beauty and durability.
Tips for Best Results
- Coasters and Mats: Use coasters, placemats, and trivets to protect surfaces from heat, moisture, and stains.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use abrasive cleaners or ammonia-based products as they can damage the finish.
- Regular Inspections: Check your furniture periodically for any signs of wear or damage and address them promptly to prevent further issues.
